What is a flat monthly territory lease?

A flat monthly territory lease is a fixed monthly fee for exclusive access to the calls our lead asset generates in one territory. We own the local lead asset, which is a website built around one service in one area. You lease the right to receive its calls.

Every call from that asset in your territory goes to your business. We do not route those calls to a second business. The fee does not rise when the phone rings more and does not fall when it rings less.

How does a fixed fee work when call volume changes?

Call volume is never constant. It moves with the season, the weather, the industry and how long the asset has been live. Some months will bring more calls than others, and some territories take time to produce calls at all. We cannot promise a number, and you should be wary of anyone who does.

That is the trade in a lease. In a busy month your cost per call falls. In a slow month it rises. With pay per call the reverse is true: your cost per call stays fixed and your total bill moves with volume. Neither is better in every case. The lease suits an operation that wants a predictable line in the budget and has the capacity to take whatever comes.

What does a territory lease cost?

There is no public price. A territory in a large metro is not the same as one in a small city, and a roofing territory is not the same as a tree service territory. We quote each territory on WhatsApp after we check that it is open.

When you ask, send your industry, the city and the area you serve, and tell us roughly how many extra jobs your crew could take each month. The quote is confirmed in writing, along with how long the lease runs and how either side can end it. Read those terms before you agree, and do not skip the notice period.

A lease tends to suit an established business with these features:

  • Enough crews or technicians to take more work without turning customers away.
  • A dispatch line that is answered during the hours that matter.
  • A good sense of what a booked job is worth, so the fixed fee can be compared with the jobs it might bring.
  • A preference for a predictable monthly cost over a bill that changes with volume.

It is less suitable for a new or very small operation, or one that cannot answer the phone reliably. In those cases a pay-per-call arrangement carries less commitment.

What should you check before leasing?

Ask for the following in writing: the exact territory boundaries, the lease length and notice period, how calls are tracked, whether a whisper message plays before each call connects (ours says "Incoming exclusive quote request from Local Lead Generators"), how call records are shared with you, and what happens if the asset stops producing calls.

Calls are tracked and recorded for review where the law allows. Recording laws differ by state, so we set up a recording notice in line with the law of the caller's and your state, and you should take your own legal advice. If you want your own asset instead of a lease, see turnkey lead systems.

Questions about local lead generators in United States

Is the whole territory really exclusive to me?

Each territory is served to one business, and we do not sell calls from the asset in that territory to a second business. Confirm the boundaries in writing, and ask what happens at the edges of the territory, including if a neighboring territory is leased to someone else.

How many calls will the lease bring?

It varies. Call volume depends on the city, the season, the industry and how long the asset has been live, and some territories take time to produce calls. We cannot promise a number of calls, jobs or any amount of revenue from a lease.

What is the monthly price?

The lease has no public price. It is quoted per territory on WhatsApp once we confirm availability. The quote is put in writing along with the lease length and notice period, so you can compare it with other options before you decide.

Does the fee change if I get more calls?

No. The monthly fee stays the same whether the month brings few calls or many. That makes your budget predictable, but it also means a slow month costs the same as a busy one, so judge the lease over several months and not over a single month, and compare the fee with the jobs you actually booked.

What if I would rather not commit to a fixed fee?

Then pay per qualified call may be a better fit. You pay for each qualified call and no long-term contract is required. You give up the predictable monthly fee, and your total bill moves with call volume, which we cannot predict.
